Multiple Testing Applications

Modus has developed a wide range of Optional Inserts for the QUASAR™ Respiratory Motion Phantom providing flexibility for multiple applications.

The Respiratory Motion Phantom is delivered with an 8 cm cedar insert for respiratory motion dosimetry in lung density material. The insert has a 2 cm opening to accommodate an acrylic ion chamber holder.

With additional inserts the phantom is capable of a wide variety of applications, such as planning system QA, dose distribution measurement for both neutral density and lung density material, 4D CT imaging, and 4D PET imaging.

Offset Inserts Modus offers a special series of three cedar inserts for use with the Respiratory Motion Rotation Stage. Each has an off-centre tumour, allowing testing with more complex motion during translation. These inserts feature the same characteristics as the above-pictured cedar respiratory motion inserts (500-3311, 500-3312, 500-3313) but with a modified tumour location.
All of the Respiratory Motion Inserts can be modified to enable stationary testing in the Multi-Purpose Body Phantom by using the MP Insert Adapter.
Custom inserts are available upon request for a wide variety of FARMER ion chambers, MOSFETs, diodes, and other point dose measurement devices.
